Jack Welch 인재의 기본중의 기본 3가지 (ACID TEST)

1. INTEGRITY: People with integrity tell the truth, and they keep their word. They take responsibility for past actions, admit mistakes, and fix them. They play to win the right way, by the rules.

2. INTELLIGENCE: It means the candidate has a strong dose of intellectual curiosity, with a breadth of knowledge to work with or lead other smart people in today’s complex world

3. MATURITY: There are certain traits that seem to indicate a person has grown up: the individual can withstand the heat, handle stress and setbacks, and, alternatively, when those wonderful moments arise, enjoy success with equal parts of joy and humility. Mature people respect other people. They feel confident but are not arrogant.

어찌보면 당연한 얘기들이기도 한데, 한 단어 한 단어가 의미가 깊다. 성공한 사람들은 자기 자리에서 오랫동안 성과 실을 다하며 버텨온 사람들이다. 스트레스 속에서도, 어려움 속에서도, 몇년씩 고생을 하고 희망이 안 보일 때도 무언가를 믿고 버텨본 사람들이다. 구글도 100억에 팔려다가 실패했던 기업이고, 카카오톡도 몇년간의 적자를 꾸역꾸역 버텨온 회사이며, 잘 될 때도 안 될 때도 재미있기만 할 순 없다. 그 자리에서 때를 기다리면, 결국 게임의 시대도 돌아오고, 랩의 시대도 돌아오고, 딜링 시대도 돌아오는 것이다. 결국 돌아보면, 희망과 열정을 떠나서 그 자리에서 자신의 최선을 다한 사람이 자신의 길을 찾는 것이지 핫한 것을 쫓아다니는 똑똑한 사람은 가볍고 흔하다. 그런 것 같다. 묵직함이 더 필요한 시즌이다.
